How about those costumes with the flesh-colored bras? Or the ones with the embellishments on the nude tights? Nobody is paying attention to your dancing when they are trying to figure out where you end and the costume begins.

Although as soon as I posted the paragraph above, I realized it was in the same thread as the discussion about using flesh-colored fabric to camouflage a body issue....
I guess there is a difference between making a tactical decision to use nude-illusion fabric as part of a costume (whether it is to minimize an ostomy/visible scars/a distractingly pale belly, to provide foundational support, to hide tattoos, etc) versus using it to titillate the audience (those nude bras) or just being decoratively weird and putting rhinestones and sequins on your shins.
I guess the answer is to be unambiguous, embrace your inner Souheir Zaki, and wear outrageously bright, matching stomach covers so people know they're not seeing skin?
