Seems to go in spurts, as well as "spam" calls on mobile telephones (yep, I said mobile). Spam detection software on your personal devices becomes a good idea.
Takk for synspunkt, Daimona.
Everybody needs to remember that every dancer has a different body. One type skirt that looks absolutely gorgeous on Dancer A, when worn by Dancer B may look absolutely crappy. :poop:
I agree, partially. There are those iterations that would make the dancer appear to be in an overstuffed sausage skin... not at all appealing. 😒 That may be why I'm drawn to something with a little more flow to it.
I'm only a BD fan, so I had to Google mermaid skirts to get a point of reference. There appear to be several iterations described as mermaid skirts. There are some that have more appeal that others, and some that have less, imho. I think what you may have encountered in your current troupe...
 ....That's why I like this group. I know what I like, and I don't have to be afraid to say so (within boundaries of decency), plus many of you ladies really come up with some of the most interesting descriptions.
Y'all haven't heard from me in awhile, as I generally stay in the background, but I couldn't resist commenting on this one. It reminds me of a traffic light, except the amber (yellow) light is missing... As well, what dancer would wear this?
Something happened (did Hell freeze over, or something?): Started receiving notes from this forum in my email. I vaguely recall registering to receive posts, but don't recall ever getting anything. Anyway, it reminded me that I hadn't been here in awhile. It's easy to get all distracted on...
Always good to hear from both Amulya and Shanazel.... Yeah, you, too, Zorba.
Isn't the costume on the horse animal abuse?
On the mirror business, I thought costumes are supposed to serve to accent, not be the main feature. Then, there should be enough material to not look like a reject from a...
Rules: This games involves things that guys should remember if they really want to date a belly dancer. You may present something that will work (a DO), but you must also present the opposite (a DON'T) or vice versa. Here's a starter:
DON'T: presume that a belly dancer will want to go out...
Some questions and discussion came up in another BD group in which I participate, which prompts me to ask, "What is appropriate/viable music for BD?" Being a musician, not a dancer, this becomes a subject of great interest to me. Then, in a totally different category and thread on this site...
It's hard to believe, but I haven't logged onto this forum for nearly 2 years :shok: so a brief re-introduction: I'm an enthusiastic fan of belly dance, living and working in the Baltimore, MD, USA, area, which has a serious belly dance community (I'm even a member of...
