  • Hi Cheart...)... last June slipped on some wetlettuce in store and an ambulance rideto ER anyhow it was badly contused...received crutches and a leg brace( type goes mid thigh to below calf) to protect that knee. About a week and half later David has bad gut pains... needs goto ER ambulance arriveswith police carand an Fire Dept SUV. Since I getting dressed. Mom comes up to our apt to help strap on the brace. The brace strap catches my pants leg so I fall down the flight of stairs. Land at feet of one of the cops walking in the door and say Hello. We end with two ambulances, two police cars and two suvs. David passes his 5mm kidney stone. I end up extremely lucky with a badly bruised arm . And that was our summer... 2 weeks after that the family cat gets sick needs amoxocillin I end up getting bit by him... .So we both have amoxocillin And that is what I did on my summer vacation. Hi Diana, so how are things going with you (Well I hope). Did you get the car? Don't know if you have been reading the whine whine snivel ect thread... but any way for me good news think my knww will be ready to go back to class this fall. I'm not using the cane on a regular basis anymore...only when going up and down inclines. Linda (Creaks)
Thank you! I love my photography, one day I'll get to take shots of dancers (I need a captive one for a few hours - here in NZ!)
Yeah, it hasn't been that hard to find classes (I'm fortunate to be in Halifax and not in a rural area like where I grew up), just hard to seperate my ballet dance vocabulary from my belly dance vocabulary!
No I don't know anyone outside NB... it would be great to have their contact! I've only been teaching since 2008, so the community is fairly new for me.
Thanks for your welcome! Love your pictures. Great to hear about other belly dancer in the Atlantic.

    Keep me in the loop!

thanks! but no, I did make the bedlah however. I had to borrow the skirts from somebody and I bought the veil. The skirts belonged to a lady over 6' tall and I'm 5'4", so you can imagine how that went!! haha

can't wait till snowy time! we don't get snow here :(
Incredibly beautiful and profession looking. Right now I am being a cowardly turnip... got this beautiful piece of material ... originally it was sold by motif... red with Indian embroidery... I'm going to cut the motifs and sew them together to make a strip and then sew it on to black harem pants... Of couse I have to get brave to cut the stuff.- always my problem with pretty material the more so with this as what I grabbed in my hands is all there is. Trying to do the Cowardly Lion song but just get the If I only had a brain song. Carefully laying it out and double checking my math... making some templates and maybe sometime to day I may cut them out. Cross your fingers. Creaks
Those are great pictures... You look really good and love your costume. I love the one that you are using for your avatar... the way the green skirt and blue veil work are complemented by the shore... Really cool of you to use Newfoundland as a costume accessory. Creaks
That's good. We were good too didn't get much rain at all though the tides ran high and when we went down to the town of Long Beach (which is on a barrier beach and the next town over) to the boardwalk to view the waves they were high ... and the beach was filled with surfers in their wetsuits...they looked like a herd of seals. looks like we got lucky
Hi, I've been watching the track of Hurricane Bill, stay safe sweetie, looks like it's going to give us a miss, just messing up the coast and hopefully our block doesn't become an island. Linda/aka Creaks
I try to wear my thai fingernails for short spans of time because they do make my fingers feel like they are falling asleep if I wear them for too long. But I am not allergic to brass...what an interesting challenge. Maybe wrapping a thin layer of medical tape on the fingertips to keep the skin from coming into contact with the nails? Or creating inserts for the nails out of a thin fabric? Let me know if you find a good solution that works.
