Alosha, is the messenger's username "mrriqqman"? This guy kept pming me last night on YouTube. He seemed friendly, but he just kept messaging me and wouldn't leave me alone. I was trying to go ahead and put up my second vid, and when he sent me his last pm, his pm somehow knocked off my upload page, and I couldn't finish!!! I'm thinking of dropping the whole YouTube idea, but how do you post vids here on this board without using YouTube?

you can't post it here without it on youtube...and if you set it to private, you cant post here either. but, you could post it private, and get up to 25 friends on youtube that you can pick and choose who you show it to.

and mr riqqman we believe is harmless. it's quite a long story on him.

a good friend of mine put up a video on youtube and he commented. she thanked him, and he sent her a message and said he was a drummer in california who also taught the dumbek and was giving her rhythm lessons for free. it was SO cool. then he found me, and he's basically online ALL the time and is quite bored. i have started ignoring him. he probably found you through my page, so i apologize for him finding you.

You could post on facebook instead. But then people will only be able to see if you make your profile public, which I wouldn't do. You could set up an anonymous facebook account though and then post on there. People can still access and comment etc but I don't think people just trawl and find stuff to comment on in quite the same way.

But then people could only access if they were on facebook which not everyone is

Or just ignore the PMs. I wouldn't ever respond to an unsolicited PM from someone I didn't know, even if just online.

thank you! the latest installment isn't quite as pretty....one should not try to improvise to an unknown song on only a few hours of sleep...but i promised to post the ugly as well as the good, so it's out there for all to see. maybe my pmer will now find me to be less interesting....

thank you! and i have to say that i am quite surprised at how supportive the online community has been. i had expected negative comments, since i see so many on other videos where the dancers are wonderful. maybe it's because people understand i am a beginner, and therefore don't expect too much?
