This is interesting moon for the second time in two days I have seen this style of dancing, Salome posted what I think the same kind of dance from Morocco in a different thread.
I am getting curious about it, still have difficult time with the belly movement it must be really acquired taste. Thank you for this find. Salam~Mahmoud

[Thanks Moon! This looks kind of like a dance movement style that one of my teachers taught my class, but unfortunately I forgot all the details of what African/M.E. group does it (except the group that she was talking about sometimes wears dangling belts to emphasize the movements, and that hopping jumps are sometimes involved). I was too distracted by not being able to "get" the movement, and I forgot the rest.
The movement she taught us really comes from the lower center abs, not the obliques, so was very hard for me to do it properly. I've gotta work on those lower center abs! |
