I've found some pretty decent videos on YouTube via ExpertVillage.
Naimah and Sahirah (spelling?) are some the best that I've seen as far as online instructional videos go. Naimah's videos show it mainly on the first page of the search (they are under the title "How to Belly Dance"), and here's the link (which will also show the rest): Click Here Here are Sahirah's: Click Here |

dear young male belly dancer,
here's my suggestion for you, which will be a bit more expensive than watching youtube, but will get you in good dancing shape: a) take some private lessons at the best oriental dance place you can find b) train your body in fitness/ dance classes, so you get a good sense of motion and rythm in general c)add some youtube moves, but rather use this as a spice to your dancing, not as the main ingredient if you'd ask me, i' d teach you some moves, but unfortunately i'm from switzerland. are you really sure you want to learn oriental dance? because, you know, oriental people aren't very likely to respect your choice. do you care about that? i mean, does the cultural thing interest you in any way? if no, maybe you'd better take some dancing lessons in jazz dance, where you learn a lot of sexy moves as well. do you want to dance for yourself or for a stage? is there a performing male belly dancer near your place that you could ask for lessons? whatever your motivation is, i wish you well, and good continuation on your way, anna |

Sorry to say this. But i think you are being a little biased. If you look at her other vids...she has warned her viewers she isnt a expert and is trying her best to explain the requests that come to her. N she herself encourages a real teacher. So honestly i think she;s being humble. I dunno if shes is a good teacher. I just watch her performances. She has uploaded many good vids which touch other aspects of bellydance other than dance...e.g expressions .weights...We should give credit to her effort.
I dont think you should make fun of herSorry if i said anything ![]() |

I just meant that her ommis are not good - and she's posted them as an example of how to do them properly. Then along comes someone like you who presumably thinks that she knows what she is talking about and that this is correct
