NUTS TV! what a sell out.

For those who dont know, NUTS is a crappy lads mag which is vile and sexist and usually full of very young girls with big boobs and photos of fast cars.

Some people really do not care were their publicity comes from.

I remember these girls from Raqs B actually.

One comment on the second film made me smile..about her running shows " and now other people are too"!!!!!!!!!!!!I think Jo Wise et al may have done a few shows before Mia discovered belly dance

Yes I didn't quite see the lovable NUTS channel as a classy vehicle for promotion but it will be "interesting" to see the "progress" of the mobile phone series

NUTS TV, hmmm? Another cultural offering I have been unaware of until now. I learn so much on the forum. I found myself thinking, "Posture, ladies, posture" a couple of times and saw a candidate or two for the UBDC forum. Such a shame pasties have never caught on in mainstream belly dance. Think of the fabric and beads we'd save.

Now there's someone I will now never take a lesson from. I seriously hate lads mags and all they are doing to the perception of women, and the danger of the next generation of women internalising these perceptions, and projecting them back out again. The only publicity will be for a bunch of 'lads', so worth jack. I'm not easily riled, but the whole Jordan-esque sexualisation really gets me.

Likewise. I already didn't go to a workshop of hers on the basis of some in-the-blood sufi mystic wibble, and this is the icing on the cake. Oh yeah, and the voiceover on her DVD, I thought I'd forgotten that... Still, apparently there is no such thing as bad publicity so what do we know?

Yet another reason I think my teacher is fab - she wouldn't let lads mags film our classes on a mobile. But then of course they wouldn't want to because we are not all thin young lovelies busting out of our bedlah.

I am now going to shut up before I go into rant mode about Management Consultancy.

Yes but you know "nobodies really done this before" which seemed to mean the dance school, the shows everything.

AND it wasn't the voice over that would put me off going to a workshop, it was the way she seemed unable to dance with the music on her dvd

I tried to view the video clips, but YouTube brings up a page saying it is not available in my country (USA). Go figure...
