[quote=chryssanthi sahar;72693]I wasn't there myself, but from what I heard from Abu Hassan, as well as from what I red in the German belly dance magazine "Halima", she was interrupting her dancing again and again making an angry face, pointing at the musicians and shaking her head and then she even left the stage before a song was finished and she didn't want to perform a further song. Maybe Taheya who visit this performance can tell us more about it. Anyway the German audience was not amused at all with her behaviour. I think in Germany Randa lost the game, opposite to Asmahan, who performed very professional and charming in Frankfurt (I visited that performance) and treated the musicians very nice and had no problem at all to improvise with the drummers. Asmahan made a very good impression on the German audience and got very nice critics, while Randa completely failed.[/QUOTE
I did not see her pointing at the musicians but it was blatant that she did not lke their playing, rolling her eyes shrugging her shoulders, stopping dancing etc. I do not recall her walking off mid song but certainly her set was very short. |

I thought Randa's numbers at Bognor last year were a bit short too, though I could be mistaken. Long wait for the big star at the end of the show, lots of build up music before she came on especially between numbers, then all over before you know what's happened.
![]() Whereas Asmahan at Egyptian Moonlight - several numbers (and insane costumes), out in the audience getting everyone going, ![]() |

But in about it is the same The fact is, that she behaved badly, inappropriate for a professional dancer and the audience doesn't forget that (neither do the musicians).O.k. ladies, I won't be able to do more postings for the next two weeks, because I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow and I don't know when I will have the chance to go to an Internet cafe there. See you in two weeks ![]()

I think Randa likes to invent her own arm positions, some of which are a bit peculiar. I'm not too keen on her hops, skips and kicks - I've seen some dancers here attempt to replicate them and they've just looked risible because they don't have Randa's agility. Yes, maybe she'd been watching her Dina videos recently!

Dear Suheir, When I was staying with Hallah in Cairo a few weeks ago, she also said that she thinks Rands is going through some kind of phase where she is trying to emulate Dina too much. I hope she gets over it! she is really such a great dancer that I hate to see it. I hope it IS only a phase. Regards, A'isha |

I wasn't to crazy about that move where she has her arms in front of her and is walking forward, it looks like she's stomping or trying to regain her balance (it's a bit before 2:00)
as for this video where she gets mad at the musicians, would it be possible to find this on youtube? |

I am not a fan a funny faced Dina but I love Randa. She has the expression without 'the over the topness'. Dina always appears to be very affected to me. |

It seems as though she is experiementing with something new to her usual style. This would not be my favorite clip of her. Her arms are too wild for me at times.
