but do you normally do Gulf dance to Sidi Mansour?

I've yet to see a western verGulf dance that didn't come across as robotic. I suppose they chose this music to go with the second half - but that is ratther formulaic too

Looks like blissful ignorance to me... I've also seen a clip on YouTube of a troupe dancing "khaleegy" to Persian music.

Yes but would i recognise Persian music, or would it look wrong anyway. Some of us are still trying to educate ourselves

What sort of music is Sidi Mansour. Is it shaabi? It is on my CD of Egyptian dance music from Luxor (dance in the sense of popular dance
