And there was me wondering whether to check out her UK workshops... that's the train fare saved then.

Well, to be fair I have a dvd and she is the best at explaining belly rolls and flutters, but the opening credits show a similar lack of taste, One clip she's doming floorwork with one leg beside her ear on a stage which is at head height to the guys standing round - I almost hit reject then, but I'm glad I perservered with that as I learnt something I didn't know she was doing UK?

Workshops

and a show

If I read one more thing about how much bellydance and burlesque have in common I think I'm going to puke...

Yes, I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry when I read the description of the second workshop - "brassiere"?! Has that word been in common currency since about 1948? My late mother used to use it but she was born in the early 1920s. It just makes me think of a long-line Playtex number in 100% nylon beige.

It's probably a retro thing . But it does say substantial and a bit on the pointy side to me...

I am getting such hideous mental images about this now...

Did you notice that the high heels, brassiere, undies and feather boa all are supposed to go over one's exercise clothes? Someone should turn up with demure church pumps with an inch and a half heel, a heavy-duty bra in white cotton with wide straps and four hooks in the back, and a pale pink pair of old lady knickers that come clear up to the waist and half way down the thighs. Put that over black fishnet stockings and a purple tee shirt that says Colorado Avalanche Hockey and add a sulferous yellow feather boa that is seriously molting... ooo la la!

He he lovely typical bellydancing/striptease in a cold climate.

And I have to say I have seen a girl at a local halfa wearing a fringed pink bedlah and under her brassiere ( what a lovely word...for me it conjures up Maidenform..yes my Great Aunts used to call them that with a heavy French inflextion ) was a red short sleeved T shirt with high neckline.

Wait 'til Brea gets to Scotland I have no doubt she will have her Damart vest on under that sparkly bra ..it's either that or turn Tribal.
