I had never seen any of Nagwa's Footage..how great!
I, personally, adore the stage presence and the "roughness" of hte first performance. She is truly dynamic and I am that kind of dancer....I like to feel up the stage or performance area with my energy right at the start so i can draw on it throughout the piece. I perferred the dancing of the first but, like yasmine, liked the music for the second piece better! Thanks for sharing those clips. She was truly a poineer of modern Raks Sharqi and most likely set the pace for dancers and choreographers alike to freely express themselves through this dance. nayila |
