I have bought two off the rack costumes in the last month (after making a tribaret one, and continuously working on a cabaret one for the last year it was time) and BOTH of them require much re-engineering in order to actually wear!
The bra and belt only took about two hours of stitching/replacing hooks/placing straps but the cabaret dress I bought needs a lot of help; I wore it for a performance recently and realized it needs like two more straps than it has in order to actually STAY where it needs to stay.
So, for those of you who get custom made costumes -- do you still have to do adjustment/resew straps/etc in order to actually wear your costume?
