I call it the Dragonfly skirt. I had some issues with the hemming, but that's why you do a prototype, right? Whaddaya think?

Is it to wear with a skirt or trousers? Would be nice to see what it looks like with another skirt underneath! How heavy is the fabric?

I'm wearing one over a skirt in the opening vid on my youtube, YouTube - aloshabellydancer's Channel

It can be worn over pants for practice, over skirts for performance, over garter pants for a fusion look. Super versatile. I have so many other fabrics cut, just need to get sewing.

I would like to see how it looked worn 1/8 turn to the side so the point comes in front and back as well as the sides instead of either side front and back.

Catwomyn, I am definitely making plus sizes. Pretty much everything I do is customized, and for no extra fee. I want to make items that fit wonderfully, and are flattering to everyone.

Ariadne, new photos on the way!

There are different ways to do it. Find a nice book at the library and give it a try. Works best if you stretch the fabric on bias a bit.

By the way, it looks gorgeous over that black skirt!

If I was going to grow up again, I'd probably embrace tribal dance just for the costumes.

Ooo, fishline edge- cool. You might even try old-fashioned horsehair braid if you want it to really float out there.

I was just thinking fishingline too! I wore it to class tonight, and it behaves really well. I think with different fabrics, the look will be quite different. This is a synthetic crinkle charmeuse with a grain to it, and is pretty substantial. Imagine it in different weights of silk, and I have idears for trimming and.... AH! I need a sugar-daddy!

This looks fantastic. I would love to wear something like this over a pair of pants for classes. I can't wait to see what other colors you come up with too. Thanks, too for the video clip. Nice to see how it wears.
