Nesrin would be equally glorious and dignified in a hessian sack or nothing at all!

Can't say I love the bikini-and-bathrobe look, the groping hand or even that wierd elbows behind the head move, but all is forgiven and quickly forgotten with such beautiful dancing.

:clap::clap:

There's a coincidence... I LOOOOOVE Nesrin Topkapi - total fangurl here, she is my inspiration (ramble ramble gush gush)... :D

And last weekend I got to go to four workshops with her. O..M..G... squeeeeee!!!!... <hyperventilates>

Incredible dancer, it was a privilege to get to see her, and an awesome teacher.

I wish there was more footage of her or a DVD out there.

Love Nesrin Topkapi

I am so envious Aniseteph, it's typical after I leave London, all the best dancers go there for workshops, waahhhhh :(

Love Nesrin, indrayu is right, she would where a garbage bag and look great, and I love that look she has really suits her. Wish there was more footage of her as well, it's pretty criminal she stopped performing in her prime.

LOL I feel so out of the loop that I hadn't heard of her until about 10 minutes before I posted the video.

And you can add me to the list of green with envy people over the fact that some of you lucky ladies have had a chance to learn from her.

I loved that her costume is unique, her moves are so effortless, she comes across as sultry and classy all at the same time and I love how unqiue her arm and handmovements are:)

LOL she is on my list of girl crushes now !

Ok you can kill me ... she is my regular teacher in Istanbul for the last 2 years:dance:

She is incredibly good at breaking down the movement ( which only few teacher can do here in Turkey ! ) , and the way she dances in the lesson ... you don't need to worry about facial expression, cos you can't stop smiling when you watch her dancing !!
AND she is a great choreographer ... I learnt a lot how to interpret the music and capture it.

Elegant, graceful, charming and happy ... love my teacher !!!
Thank you for bring her up in the thread.

Oh forgot one thing.

If I am not wrong, this is 1980 new-year special program.
At that time in Turkey, you are not allowed to show your belly on television ... that's why she HAD TO hide her belly in that way, like it or not. You will see the same thing with Tulay Karaca's video at that time.

Maybe they'd be willing to come to Wyoming, kidnap me, and force me into hour after hour of workshops and classes.
