ACK! It's so annoying having to cook dinner and try to mod at the same time---I can never post fast enough! -_- He's gone again (his little green light is out).
I don't think your story is boring, I find it interesting, thanks for sharing. I think it's great you are interested in the dance, the facts & history surrounding it. Are you a professional photographer or a hobbyist?

Sounds interesting, I have seen photos taken by a friend who likes to take photos of people in the city, on trains, trams and they are great. I am the world's worst photographer, and get really excited if I manage to get a good shot of somethingI am a hobbyist. I usually shoot people in the street, mothers walking her children, people taking the cab, playing in the field, i also take pictures to historical monuments and the colonial zone of Santo Domingo and other cities of my country, well you get the point.

How did I ask mean?! And all this time I wasn't even bothered by your thin/fat comment!
See, now people have a better understanding of you vs. thinking you're just some creepy perv looking to cause trouble... I kid, I kid![]()
To be fair, we've had more than our share of, shall we say, persons of questionable and dubious intent visit our fair forum.![]()

I just stumbled upon this post and read it like:lol::lol::lol::
"I usually shoot people in the street, mothers walking her children, people taking the cab, playing in the field"
It sounded like you are a sniper LOL.
At least I'm not the only one who was offended.:shok: sorry but that offended me.
Oh, and on topic, I don't like dancers who:
- Focus too much on the props. "Yes, the veil is nice, but how about setting it down so we can see some dancing."
- Who have no respect for belly dance as an art, and/or dancers who only belly dance to be sexy.
- Who think that learning a few moves Shakira did makes her/him a belly dancer.
- Who make youtube videos in a top, and hip scarf only. Put some pants on or something.
- Who think that belly dancers should only be one body type.
:clap::clap::clap: YES!!
I am pretty tolerant of the fact that dancing is apples and oranges, style preferences and music are not really up my alley to knock as i dont really think its fair.
The one thing that i've seen that i will say that i don't like is once i saw a performer use a veil. She literally spun around super fast for the entirety of the performance and the audience was ohhhing and awwwwing, because you know, she didn't fall. But that was just it, she didn't really do any dancing she really just spun with her veil for shock effect- and i was waiting for her to fall. I actually wondered to myself if she even knew how to BD, as she did turns so much that it made me seem like she was hiding something. I think the audience might have been impressed, but i didn't like it at all.
And im not exaggerating she literally was spinning the whole time. Im suprised she didnt throw-up or get sick.
