Anatoliy and I are heading up to Seattle tomorrow (Friday July 18th) to visit with family... and I just realized it happens to be the Mediterranean Fantasy Fest this weekend. Is anyone from the forum dancing in that??? Also, we *may* drop by Waid's Haitian cuisine and lounge, don't know the gals performing but my friend George Sadak is playing with his band for a dance show Friday night. Actually I'll just put up the flier here... If you see me, don't be shy! I love to meet folks in our community so come say hi

Well have fun! I have not met the dancers listed on the flyer either but I have heard about them. Nalini is Russian and Dahlia Moon is on the email lists a lot. supposedly modern Egyptian.

Tell us what you think afterward. Are you planning on going to Med Fest? have you ever been before? It has grown to be three times what it was in the 90's when I lived there. All levels of skill and talent and style. Lots of vendors. Write a review of Med fest too.

Have to admit I've never been to the med fest, I don't know that I'll make it this year either as I've got other plans, but I might slip away to check it out...

Dear Salome,
Seattle is SO much fun!! You and Anatoliy have a great time, and if you get the chance, say hello to George, for me. He was here in Spokane with Yasmin's band a few weeks ago. I used to dance with his brother Baha when they were all at George's. (Not Sadak, the Greek George's.) I might even have danced when George was playing a time or two. We both have fond and crazy memories of the club.
