Oooo, apparently Raks Sharki originated in Mesopotamia, artifacts of ancient dancers have been found in Anatolia,(Modern Turkey) dating back 10,000 years. This Middle Eastern dance form was found in the goddess cults of Inanna, Ishtar, Tiamet, and Astarte. In Egypt this dance was part of rituals to the Goddess Isis, Hathor, Neith and Maat.

Dear Khanjar,
I LOVE Jalilah and I hope that no one thinks she wrote that......... I feel that I know her well enough to speak up for her since she went to bat for me to use her music for my DVD.
Regards,
A"isha

If Zorba says he invented it, that's good enough for me.

Fine with me though I don't know when we started using the word bling.

I think I was the goddess of something once but I can't remember what.
