Default UK More4 Love and Sex in the Arab World films

Just to let all UK people know that More 4 are running a series of love and sex in the Arab world films.

channel4.com / More4 / Love and Sex in the Arab World

At least one features bellydancing (xmas day).

Thanks for the info.
Satin Rouge is an excellent film by the way. I bought it about 3 years ago and well worth the watch for the story let alone the dancing.

Well what did you think?
I watched Satin Rouge despite having it on video so I'll make no comment. The docu. El Banate Dol was heartbreaking.
And last night Viva Algeria was also gripping and part a joy/part raw and depressing.
I thought the female characters so well drawn and acted and I assume that it was deliberate that the men faded beside them.Beautifully filmed.
I'd be interested to hear what you thought of the dancing snippets?

I didn't get to see any . I've been visiting family and realised just before setting off I didn't have any dvds to record on. I'll just have to get hold of the dvds from somewhere.

Lizaj, where did you get the video from? I've just looked on line and can only see US region DVDs.

Mine is an old video from when it first came out and it was from amazon. Have you tried a search through Shira?
You know American format DVDs often play on our players. The new all singing and dancing thing my husband bought for his new Plasma is very fussy but the cheapie machine from Asda plays anything you throw on it!
