Hey all!
I found two clips of khaliji. Now I know this is probably not Saudi, but Emirati perhaps, but I think it has some nice female khaliji at some points. Not the overdone tasteless thing we saw in the previous ones. I like it, personally.

A'isha, you should leave a comment on that youtube clip. People need to know when they are spreading disinformation.

Some Arabs left comments for both clips, but I don't think the persons who posted the clips can read it

Would be good if someone who knows a lot about Saudi dance and speaks English could leave a comment.

Sedonia, I tried to sign up so I could comment on Youtube, but since I refuse to sign up for the Broadcast Yourself thing, they will not seem to let me make a comment..... or, knowing me, I ma doing something else wrong. I really and truly am a techno-moron......

You have to register, but its free and easy -- like registering for this site.

Also, once you register, you can make your own playlists, etc. of the good stuff. I use youtube as a great resource for my class. We don't have time to do lots of video watching during class, but I email people links to clips, and links to my playlists, with or without my own commentary.

Oh, and I looked up the teacher who was teaching that workshop. She's Iranian FYI, so it just goes to show you that its not just us ugly Americans who can screw up other people's dances.

Hmm...I see that -- there is only one box to agree to their terms AND sign up for the email. For what its worth, I don't think I have ever gotten an email from them. I think once you sign up you can change that in your account preferences.
