I like Dahlal because of the personal service I got when I was looking for canes one time and because they are very dependable and the quality is excellent on the items I've bought.
I like Sugarpetals for quality, dependability and promptness, though I think the powernet items are a bit pricier than necessary. I buy books and CDs from Amazon and will do so in the future because I like their middle man approach to vending, However, I find it a great pain in the neck to negotiate the site if a mistake was made on my order. I also hate Amazon sending me e-mails, and have not managed to negotiate the vagarities of the site to get off their darn list. I really hate e-advertising and if I can determine that a vender has shared my address with another sort, I am not inclined to patronize the vender in the future. My husband buys french horn music from the Hornists nest and is happy with their variety and speed of delivery. We also have bought things occasionally from science supply places. Promptness and availability of things we can't get in central Wyoming are important considerations- I wish I could find a good source of inexpensive, sturdy student hip scarves, for example, with emphasis on sturdy. Sorry- that was probably too much information. |

I bought my first hipscarf from devs.com.au and toally back up the reviews here. I had a great experience with them, the site was easy to use, lots of pictures and the information I wanted was up front. When I had a problem ordering they were great in checking my order for me and even put in cute little extra with my package that was sent super fast for a great price.
Have bought books/DVDs from Amazon before - for DVDs it's really helpful to have region info available. While thre are ways to get around it I'd prefer to buy a DVD in my region (4) or even better - region free. I know the sellers can't often influence this but it helps if they can make a note of it in the listing. I've just bought the Ariellah DVD from this sites store and found the ordering process easy and really appreciate the shippings costs made public (and that they were so cheap - I don't know how you do it but thankyou!), bought one directly from Jenna's site, similar experience to here. I'll second the above posters by ranking good photos, up front pricing & shipping information & great follow up service. I agree the continual post-sale amazon-type e-advertising sucks and should only ever be opt-in (not follow 100 links to opt-out) but I do appreciate sites that send order confirmation, shipping notice etc.
