I am watching some coin belts on ebay. There are so many gorgeous colours but I don't know which one is for me. Is there any secrets in choosing a colour? I have always worn black and have decided to steer away from black. Although I know black is slim-looking I am sick of wearing black. Can you help me pick a colour? These are the colours I've got bookmarked:
Hotpink with gold coins Lavendar with gold coins Auburn (like a dark red or burgundy) with gold coins. Ok so would you have a veil the same colour? If not, what colour veil would you prefer with the colour you've picked? Thanks a million for your ideas If you don't like any of these colours, what other colours you reckon go down well?If it helps at all, I have fair skin that never tans - only burns lol, blue eyes. My hair is darkish blonde but am contemplating a colour change. I am 160cm am a bit on the overweight side but am on a successful journey with Weight Watchers. Thankyou ![]() Kathy ![]() |

Hey DancerAU !!
I go with mouse on the fact that I need one in every colour !! When I was going to buy hipscarves in Cairo, I asked the girls on this forum if they preffered gold or silver coins and the general response was that the lighter/more pastel colours of hip scarves look better with silver coins and the darker/richer coloured fabrics deserved the gold coins. Your colouring sounds to me like you could wear either. Have a look at these...... |

Hi DancerAU, it all sounds nice and I think if you like it, just wear it! But I personally would like the hip scarf to match the skirt/harem pants I'm wearing. So I think it depends on what colour the rest of the clothing is whether the hip scarf looks nice or not.
(ok that last sentence looks like one big terrible grammar mistakes, but who cares :p I can't think of anything better right now) |

Hey Kathy! The theory of every colour is great, but if you necessarily have to choose from the three options, then I'd leave lavender aside. Well, it depends on the intensity of the tone, of course, but in my perception of colours lavender with pale skin may give a double-fading effect. But really, that depends on the exact tone. The other two sound just wonderful to me!
If you don't want to get a veil of the same colour as the scarf itself, maybe you can find one of a more gold-like fabric to match the coins (and which you can fit with more than one scarf/costume). I am rather light-skinned as well, and recently I've discovered that I strongly prefer warmer and more intensive colours. It just seems to me they look good on me ![]() Last edited by maariku; 09-27-2006 at 07:52 PM. Reason: Late-night typing - some letters are bound to get lost :) |

I like color, all colors (except orange. I don't care for orange and associated colors, probably because they make me look ill). I like to wear dark colors because they don't show lumps, bumps, and pantylines, and I never have to think too much about what I'm wearing when the outfit is dark. But lest you think I am too staid, let me tell you about the costume I am making from dark blue, violet, and green... It makes me feel like a wildwood flower.
