Yeah, but Netherlands is the place that got people to pay a zillion dollars for one bulb before the bottom fell out of the market- that kind of marketing involves one hell of a song and dance routine!

[quote=Moon;8670]Actually I know very little about Dutch traditional dance (I'm not really interested in it, especially not the music), but this might be a good example of a folkloric dance:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPB3HDN6okI QUOTE] Hey Moon.. I think the dance clip is quite interesting, its rather nice, sort of line dancing with interesting costumes , Is it meant to be funny? By the way foreign things always sounds and looks exotic... so there you go. Here are some more clips of Indian Classical Dance. All these different dances are great! It is kinda funny though that I always thought Finnish folk dances to be boring before discovering belly dance and later got interested in folk dances of Turkic people - this again lead me to notice many similarities between Eastern European and even Central Asian folk dances and Finnish dances... and you can even hear lots of eastern influences in some Finnish folk music
Currently I am also starting to discover the fantastic spectra of different dances from different cultures of Singapore - as here are Chinese, Indian (especially Tamil) and Malay people the selection of dances is also wonderful although I have not yet discovered whether there is any specific Singaporean folk dance ![]() |
