Default Floaty happiness thread

Heyas,

With all this heated discussion going on (which can be very tiring and energy comsuming ), I thought, why not spread a little bit of happiness and calmness and floatyness.

So I thought what can I do to make a nice floaty fluffy atmosphere? And besides having a cuppa, which I'm craving for, I thought it'd be fun to spread some nice websites or ways of making people happy, and a place to just relax and talk.

So I'll go first. I study Buddhism at college as part of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics course, and it's brilliant. There's alot of loving kindness, and compassion, and it's inspiring. So... every time I see someone of think of someone, the first thing I try to think of is.. "I wish you happiness", which is actually a quote from Richard Gere, and that guy makes a nice point. It teks ages to get used to saying or thinking, but it made me feel a lot happier in myself

So... I wish you happiness

Here's a nice site about Bodhicitta.

Lets see how this goes down

Thanks Sara for this oasis of calm, it's refreshing!

Appreciate that you shared the link, in the next town a
Buddhist community has purchased a large farm.

Part of their plan is to keep most of it open space,
and utilize only what they need. The construction will start
fairly soon. I am grateful they secured the property, or
it would be another farm lost to a housing development.

I wish you happiness (and lots of dance space )

Sara, your aura comes in kind of faint, all the way out here in California, but I sense it is calm, light blue and serene.

Once I 'm in Kentucky (almost), I'll be 2000 miles closer, and I'm sure I'll get a stronger signal!

Lol- smoke? Me? Nah...

I'm always like this. My history teacher reckons I'm high as a kite, but not in the drugs sense. I think it's just nice to sometimes take time out to be happy cause sometimes we can be too busy and forget to actually enjoy ourselves.

Thanks for the link Zarah, I think the whole Buddhist philosophy and idea's are really amazing. Some mediated so much, they can actuallywrap them selves up in wet sheet, which could apparently kill us, and then dry them.

It was cool to watch, smoke was coming off them and every thing, and after they had dried they all compared their sheets. It looked a lot more fun than hanging out the washing.

Rico- Lol-how comes you've almost been in Kentucky for a long time? What counts as almost? lol. Is it more than 400 miles?

Anyways, it's 9:53 in the morning, and craving pancakes, well crepes, cause they're not the thick kind. Pancakes and lemon juice, or Jam is delcious!

Sara you just have to keep making those quotes in Yorkshire dialect to make me happy, I think they are so charming.

And I haven't moved yet, but when I do, I'll be just across the river from Kentucky. It's the second time I've moved, sight unseen, to a small city, but this time I feel much better about it because first, they are treating me like the Saviour, and second, unlike the last time, which was Spokane, this city has several major arts organizations and universities within 2 to 3 hours travel time: St. Louis, Nashville, Louisville, and Indianapolis.

Then again, I might become a total hillbilly, kind of an uberGrak.

I tell you something, the Yorkshire dialect must be had to imitate. I was in stitches when I heard Cliff Richards version. They seem to think we sing when we talk.

"And ahhh willl beee.... as dirrrrty... as ah want to be!" Is what he says. His accents out and he's nearly singing it. Least he tried though.
