I have read about (Dita Von) and saw some pictures and that’s why im so interested to know about the dance, (and thank you for correcting me ) As we all know, some times there is a fine line between trash and Culture , And its up to the dancers to choose which side of the line their on . Probably that’s the reason Burlesque Dance popularity is decreasing rapidly, Because we relate the dance to more of a strip tease than a highly regarded theatrical dance. Again thank you for the information. From all the info I see Burlesque has almost no connection with belly dance at all ?

Dear Freya…
Yes I was amazed to see some of the pictures of Dita Von, Specially in one picture she was sitting in this big wine glass (it was quite a big wine glass !), and then all the pictures splashed all over the fashion Magazines, I have-not seen her live performing, if anybody knows of any videos available on the net, let me know….Thanks Freya “One of my favourite acts, and I hope I'm not offending anybody by saying this, was a strip tease that involved a military uniform, beret and all, and a machinegun. The look appeared to be somewhat inspired by Madonna's appearance in the Die an Other Day video/American Life cover. This was also around the time the war in Irak had just begun. The "piéce de resistance," so to speak, was the dancer/performer's underwear which read "Lick Bush." That’s sound very interesting , Burlesque - Machine Gun - Die other day, What an interesting combination, I think sometimes Artists can be very nasty politically.
