Dear Gang,
Mahmoud quoted Nawal Al Saddawwi. (I think I mentioned her as having very different ideas about Islam than Saudi clerics sometimes do.)She is an Egyptian feminist and she is brilliant!! I suggest to anyone who wants to see Islam from a female point of view, that they read her work. She was jailed, by the way, during the Sadat Administration in Egypt. Dr Al Saddawi is one of my heros!!
