It is a symbol that is used in most EVERY Middle Eastern country, religion and society! It isn't a "muslim" symbol, but a Middle Eastern one, including Egypt, where is is the "Hand of Fatimah" and Israel where it is the "Hand of Miriam". It isn't a religious symbol, but a good luck charm, to ward off the evil eye...and...it works!

Please do - and tell us if your artist used an electric, or one of the new pneumatic guns and what your experience was like...

well people--i did it....i got my first tattoo today (2 hours ago-i feel high). i used an artist that was recommended to me and he was very gentle (yes, it still hurt like hell). i am not sure about the gun, but it was quick and noisy.
Gia--thanks for "lending" me your alladin's lamp. it came out great.

PAIN: it's like the pain of childbirth. you remember every detail of the pain while you give birth, but when it's over, the memory (kinda, sorta) fades

SO ZORBA--YOU'RE NEXT!!!!

Probably not - its still 2 years away, although I might get it a couple of months early so I can show it off at ANAS 2010.

Default A garden grows...

Here's an artist-shot photo of my leg right after we finished on Thursday!
The lotus at the back of my calf was first...the peach colored lotus and bud were added as was the dahlia...
