Default ants and bees lover

Hello all

here are a translation from the Quran for the ants and bees, I thought you might find it interesting.

Quote:
[Pickthal 16:68] And thy Lord inspired the bee, saying: Choose thou habitations in the hills and in the trees and in that which they thatch; [16:69] Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of thy Lord, made smooth (for thee). There cometh forth from their bellies a drink divers of hues, where in is healing for mankind. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect.
I find this an interesting description of the bee function, and the importance of honeybees and the honey in Muslims culture.

Quote:
[Yusufali 27:16] And Solomon was David's heir. He said: 'O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)'
[27:17] And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks. [27:18] At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: 'O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it.' [27:19] So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: 'O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants.'
here is Pretty feisty ant and the ants language that was revealed to Solomon.

Regards~Mahmoud

Oh dear, those encounters with the bug kind are a bit too close! Indignant, indeed.

I have been stung by bees/wasps a lot, but mostly in the hand. All very random occurrences, one flew between my fingers as I was walking out the door (to a piano recital) and stung me in the finger, about 12 flew up the leg of my jeans when I was out walking my dog in the prairies and got me in the leg, one was perched on my hair elastic and stung me in the hand when I went to adjust my ponytail... I'm pretty grateful that I'm not one of those people who are deathly allergic to bees!

I used to do rock climbing, and I free climbed up a quarry cliff, about thirty feet, at the top where I scrabbled around to get a hand grip, I found a hornet's nest. I had to endure the stings of angry hornets as I got myself to safety, which was through the hornets nest and those little sods just keep stinging. I stunk of vinegar that evening.

If I remember correctly, it was pretty slow as I still had to think safety whilst I was under attack, I was being stung on the face, in the hair, under my t-shirt, and in other places they could get to, I think I even spit one out. I had to force concentration on what I was doing despite the little explosions of pain erupting everywhere.

As the route I had just climbed was the only climable route, my pal had to climb through it too, but he had a safety rope from me.

khanjar, I am sure this was very difficult thing to deal with at the time. I am glad you manage to get to safety in the time you did.~Mahmoud

I did enough rock climbing in my dim dark misspent youth to truly appreciate the triumph of climbing through a swarm of wasps. Amazing what one can do when the only other choice is to fall a long, long way.
