Experts say they don't bite, but I have been bitten by one, but then I was trying to pick it up at the time, extracting it from the hair of a family member. Perhaps I was rough with it, and it was fighting back with it's only defence, it's rather strong jaws. So, I would say, they can bite, in defence if needed, but probably don't normally. They do squeal though, even more so, when you hit them with an electrified fly swatter, just got to watch where they land, so they don't start a grass fire.

Maybe the squealing has an effect when they get swatted, as after one or two hits, they generally keep clear.

Maybe with the earth's dwindling food resources another use can be put to all the creepy crawlies ;

Default Bugs, etc

Dear Gang,
Yesterday one of those bugs posted himself right NEXT to my front door and stayed there all day. I was extremely nervous whenever I had to go in or out. This morning he was gone, much to my relief. But.... when I opened the back door to let my dog out, there were some on the screen and some on the patio. If anybody out there falls down between the screen and the screen guard today, they are on their own. I can't take the screaming involved in June Bug rescue.
Regards,
The heartless and cruel

Dear Heartless and cruel lady , are you sure it was him (the June bug) , judging by your explanation and its behaviour I assume it was her.

Regards
D
We still love you even if you are cruel .
