A candy striper is a kid (I was in high school) who volunteers at a hospital.

My careers have included:
- cleaning in a hospital
- 'assistance cartographer' - where I had to hand-draw on photographic maps of farms and work out the area of each paddock, and how long the fencelines were!
- occupational therapist
- air hostess
- researcher
- case manager for accident victims
- psychologist
- pain therapist
- now-and-then taxi driver (for kids)
- reluctant role model (for kids)
- singer (not just in the shower!)
- health and safety advisor
- safe handling advisor
- artist
- mother, which of course includes negotiation skills, organisational skills, budgeting skills, nutritionist, first aider, purchaser, financial supporter - especially that last one!
