Any of you in Alabama, New Orleans, or Chicago?

There's not much going on here in Mississippi, but New Orleans is close enough for me to drive to for events. If any of you are in NOLA, can you please give me some good forums and web sites to check for workshops and performances in that area? Same with Alabama. I'd be interested in anything that Petite Jamilla has going on in Birmingham, and in Mobile. I went to see the Bellydance Superstars in Mobile, AL, last year but I don't know what else might be going on there in the bellydance circle.

Also, my boyfriend is going to be working near Chicago for the next few months and I will be visiting him several times. How do I find out about workshops and events going on there?

Edit: It dawned on my to look at Belly Dancing -- Art Of Middle Eastern Dance -- Bellydancing in Iowa City and see if she had any info like that, and...... ta-da! Belly Dancing Lessons: Find A Teacher Or Performer

Hmm this was posted a while back but I just came across it...I don't know that PJ has anything coming up in Birmingham anytime soon. I know she was supposed to be touring a lot of this year and back in December they said it would be a while before she returned home...I can't remember exactly how long they said it would be though...

Not too much else going on...there is supposed to be a show on August 16 by Irene Rimer's students...$30 a ticket I think...

Sirqus of Jreams will be hosting their 3rd annual holiday hafla, this year we are skipping December and going to hold our Holiday Hafla Sautruday JAN. 3, 2009 and rumor has it Petite Jamilla will join us! If you want more information please email sirqusofjreams@yahoo.com for details.
