Here is the book i use at university for Arabic - this is the first one : STANDARD ARABIC -An elementarty -intermediate -course by ECHEHARD SCHULZ, Gunther Krahal, Wolfgang Reuschel. (this one is great if you have some one to help you) but if you are doing it at home i suggest... UTLIMATE ARABIC (a yellow small but bit thck book) . Ultimate Arabic has Great grammer and vocabulary for beginners and intermediates of MODERN STANDARD ARABIC but in the last part it has a few notes regarding the dialects...which is great! Embassies often have courses which are either super cheap or free... If you are lucky to have an embassy close to you it would be cool. ahhh and in my country they offer lessons at the Mosque (Muslim churches) so you might check if you have any mosques around . Arabic is an awesome language! |
