Great selections taking back to my not-so-distant youth.
Minnie Riperton-Loved her. Every girl in my neighborhood wanted to hit those high notes like she did. And whenever we had crushes on boys, we'd sing the song as we walk pass them. Of couse they were dense to understand.

Roberta Flack-Gotta disagree with you on this one. Roberta's original version was smooth and sensual. A softer feeling of blues. This one is a classic.

Sade-Love her smoky voice. When she hit it big a lot of girls were named Sade in her honor. Right before the reedy voices and braggadocio of todays' female artists, she wrapped her voice around the lyrics and made them come alive. I wish she would record more.

I am a huge fan of Carpenter and what a sad ending for Karen, Yes I am aware that she died in Anorexia when the term was fairly unknown to people.

I am going through a James blunt phase at the moment. I love his voice and music he writes.

Heya Dipali,
Me too. I love his voice and music. When I heard this music for the first time, I was crying like mad. It brought memories of my first love. BTW, it was a tragic ending to my first love story. Gosh! I wanna cry....
