Hi everyone,
I'm trying to learn more belly dance drum rhythms, and of course there are going to be ones that I've never heard of before so I figured I'd appeal to everyone here!! So could everyone post every drum rhythms they've heard of (with a little Doum Tek description, and a little info on where it's from if you can!!) and lets see if we can cover everything!!! |

One of the most comprehensive albums I have found for rhythms is T Roy the Drummer's "Drum and Dance: 30 doumbek rhythms". It's available on iTunes. My only issue is that I personally think the rhythms are a little over-embellished for demonstration purposes, I think I would like them a little a little more 'stripped down'. That could just be me though!
