LOVE that song, in my top ten fav's. It's called Karoun Karoun (sometimes spelled Garoun Garoun). It is an Armenian folk song and that version is by Joseph Pusey and the Nile Spice Orchestra, it's on this album

Was that Joseph playing behind you? The first time I heard his music was at a workshop with Aziza, and I fell in love with it! I was deeply saddened to learn of his death, for he was such a talented musician.

Dear Anala,

Joseph was THE MAN at the Gypsy Caravan stage (where that video was taken) for 20 + years. But that particular year was the fair after his death. Gonapati is playing Oud there.

The CD "Spice of Life"... my dad and Joseph and another band mate, had JUST finished recording it before Joe passed unexpectedly. That CD is really a special gift, we are lucky to have. Still incredibly sad and a terrible loss.
