Just discovered Mohammed Mounir!

I got one CD--Eternal Legend, but see from his Wikipedia page that he has about 25 CDs out, and also acts.....any recommendations? What I like is his music has more change-ups than the usual pop, and I can also detect some Nubian and Sudanese folk influence.

Big Mohamed Mounir fan here! And yes, he is Nubian. I love and recommend his stuff from around 2000 and 2001. The albums "Ana Qalbi Masakin Sha'biya" and "Fe Eshq El Banat" are fab. "El Ard...El Salaam" (Earth...Peace) is good, too. You can't go wrong with most of his albums, though. His old stuff is very solid.

The song Su Ya Su from the first album mentioned was a big hit, and rightly so (I have the lyrics translated here, fyi). If you have the 'Yalla Hitlist Egypt' compilation from the late 80s (early 90s?) he has a song on there called Sif Safaa that is great.
