Briefly, how can I do that on garageband? I am usually quite OK on IT but have looked and looked and can't find it. Or should I just rtfm??

Great! I've got a Mac (would never ever touch a PC haha), so will have a look at my garageband application.

Thanks!

Good girl, that's what I like to hear, another mac gal!!!

If you need help on straightforward cutting in garageband, shout - anything more technical is beyond me. You can drag & drop from itunes to garageband from memory, so nice & straightforward.

The bar at the bottom shows you the 'shape' of the sound, the 'doms' in the music are really clear to see, so try to cut using those as your markers.

Good luck to ya!

Wow! I just dragged and dropped (didn't realise you could do that), and you can do loads with the track! I couldn't get the track in there in the first place. Thank-you - I've been wondering for about a year

Yeah, I discovered it by accident, until then I didn't think you could actually use MP3s in garageband, don't you feel like a complete doughnut when you actually find out how easy it is !! Or maybe that's just me!!
