Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me? My dance teacher has quite a few pieces of lovely music that various people have brought to her over the years, which we have some very nice choreographies to. However, she only has some of these pieces on a twenty year old cassette tape, and they are very bad quality. She doesn't know what the name or artist of the music is. If anyone could help me identify them, it would be great, as she really wants to buy them nice and shiny new, so we can go out and perform to them, as at the moment they are too hissy to be any good! The first one I found on a video on youtube, but it's not the piece the dancer says it is, as I've tried to get Eshta by Hossam Ramzy, and it's a different tune. Any ideas what it is? It sounds like a part of Tahia's Dance but in a different version. Maybe the "tet Balady" part in a more turkish style??? Not sure about which parts of tahia's dance are called what though.
These are the songs:Tahia's Dance: Habibi Ya Asmar/Ya Hassan/Tet Balady and Tabla Solo/Touta. The only parts of "eshta" I could listen to consisted of a drum solo. Didn't sound like the same piece at all.

Thanks for your reply, sorry it's taken so long for my response!
I will let my teacher know so she can try getting the CD. I'm having trouble getting the next piece of music uploaded, hopefully I'll get it done soon. Thanks again! |
