That's always good

Although I don't like to be associated with the pussycat dolls, at least it is in some kind of negative way

Yes most of the time I do like Shakira. The problem I have with that particular Pussycat Dolls song is mainly that sentence "don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?". Makes me think of slutty girls that try to lure boys away from their girlfriends just for fun.

... and the reference to the bellydancer in the song is not helping the image of the profession either

hahah no.

But now I feel a little guilty for going away from the original subject. Let's go back to it.
I found this video last night http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiLZi...ghtman%20harem
Looks like it has some reference to bellydance However I don't have sound here so I have no idea what the song sounds like, lol!

Not exactly current, but one of my favorite songs with oriental reminiscences is Roy Orbison's 'Shahadaroba'. I also love Shakira's Ojos Así... I used it a lot for practice back when my ME music collection was still small.

I LOVE Sarah Brightman- She's swings. The songs quite good n all.

I can think of loads, or know loads but can't remember them now...

Lots of Shakira try her MTV version of Onjection. It has lots of heavy drums at the start. And as well her live version of Whenever Wherever
LL cool J and J Lo- "Her top was short and purple, belly dancing in a circle."
Sarah Brightman-Harem
Truth Hurts- Addictive (Adore from BDSS is in the video)
R Kelly- Snake (I hink this one too... not sure though.)
Although it's not like MTV- lots of Prince of Egypt music is cool and Aladdin (but that's cause I've just seen vids next to me)
BEP- lots of their music is butt wobbling stuff...
Also- if you google Eurovision lots of acts on their have quite flavoury music too.
