Posting music files - allowed or not?

Hello members,

there has been some question about whether or not this forum allows sharing music files. We apply the same principle to sharing music files as we do the other content that is copy righted and posted on this forum and that is the fair use law.

If there is a reason, say you need a translation of a particular song, want to know what country it is from, what language etc. etc. then yes, posting a music file is allowed here, under fair use. Use it within reason, read fair use is not an excuse to put an entire album on the forum.
