    Hey There,

I know you wrote me a message but now I can't find it. Maybe it was deleted because I didn't respond quickly enough.

How are you going? Are you still loving belly dance?

I haven't stopped. I love it as much as ever. Now I"m learning Khaleegy and Sword dancing and I am also learning a "goddess fantasy dance" with my little girl Leilu who is 7yo and an awesome dancer.

I'm getting better slowly but surely and trying to practice as much as I can. The kids, my hubby and I have had a long run of flu and colds so it's been hard to get practices in - either I've felt crap or I've been looking after somebody else whose feeling crap. Plus my eldest moved back home and I've been helping him get a new job and move his stuff. Between all of that and homeschooling my girls I haven't got much done. We're all better now and my son has found work so I'm making dance practices a priority (my turn hehe).

My instructor had a baby so there was a term where I had all different teachers which was hard to adjust to. I'd got so used to my regular one. In the end it was great because they all taught so differently and had their own specialities and I can see why people recommend trying different teachers for that reason.

I got invited to join a troupe with my belly dance school last week. I'm so wrapped. I don't think I've ever been so proud about anything before. Really I can hardly believe it's true. I'm not that good at dancing (perhaps better than I thought) so it's like a dream and I just grin whenever I think about it. I'll have to work hard to pull my weight. I'm the oldest and the least experienced dancer but I'm also the one who doesn't work so I have time to practice and I'm so keen and committed to this.

Now I have to get a proper costume. They are so expensive my hubby has done extra weekend work to save up for it. But it's such a big decision/cost it's freaking me out. So much choice. I think I"ve found "the one" here:

I'd love to hear what you've been up to. How have you found the belly dance scene where you are? I think I'm spoiled here in Sydney. There's festivals and stuff all the time.
