I am a Japanese expat living in Istanbul.
I've been dancing Turkish oriental for 1.5 years ... and my teacher is LEGEND Nesrin Topkapi!!! She is a great dance ( well, I don't need to mention that, right? ) but also a great TEACHER!!! I know I am veeeery lucky that I started my bellydancing with her ![]() I also dance Roma style but not as much as Oriental... Looks like we don't have many Turkish Oriental dancers here, but I would like to make friends with you and talk about our dynamic and beautiful style!! |

Thank you for your comment, Mosaic.
I've been here about 2.5 years for my hubby's job assignment so not sure how many more years to go ... I started dancing as "just a hobby", but now it is MY LIFE as others here! As it is not too easy to get belydance related information in Istanbul, I hope I can contribute to the forum ![]() Also thank you for noticing my first costume ( yes, custom made! ) ![]() |
