This is more along the lines of a non classical dancer.

The measurements for this cover up is:

Asking $40.00 + ship.

Length: 56".
Chest: 36-38".
Sleeve to sleeve: 48".

Pretty! I saw a pretty sarong while swim shopping. It has fringe and beads, similiar to a hip scarf. Could this pass as one?

Are you wanting this as a swim cover up? I'd say it's a little heavy for that.

It looked light and floaty and it had some beads on it that were pretty. I was wondering if it would work for a hip scarf also?

I guess I'm not understanding what you are asking. Let me try. Are you asking me if this kimono would work as a hipscarf or are you asking me if the kimono would work as a costume if you added a hipscarf?

Woops! It is easy to not be clear on the internet. I was looking at a swim suit sarong that was beautiful. (A wrap to wear around your hips over your swim suit.) It was black with pretty beading and it tied in the front. I thought it might work to wear it as a hip scarf for class. Hopefully that is more clear.

I was by Global Village the other day and they have some really nice, ok-priced coin belts. I think I might get one from there myself.
