Youtube is censored in China ((( and although I can see some videos with the use of a proxy, the one you sent is not opening.

His moves are technically perfect, with defined and pristine isolations. But, whether he were male or female, I would not call it dancing (or belly dancing), for it really came across as contorting to the music -- it was beautiful and showed strength -- but, I cannot call it dance.

Regards,

Anala

A good example of confusing exquisite muscle control with belly dance.

No YouTube in China? Alas, Yue.

China is great and living here is also great, specially if you don't have the disadvantages of a lower salary and having to work 10 hours a day, as some of my friends do... although that happens in Spain too.
But there are disadvantages, too. Not many and not important, and most of them not because of the country itself, but because of my family being so far away...
One of the little disadvantages is internet censorship sometimes. But that's what web proxies are for :P

Very cheap, almost unlimited, belly dance classes, with more than 15 different teachers to choose from, is one of the big advantages

Its more belly "moving" to me than belly "dancing", but, wow! I don't think I will ever learn to move like that!

Well, I thought he was amazingly supple, but that walk he does with the belly roll looks gross and should be in a horror film or Star Trek movie. Freakish and more suited to the circus.

Well, I never said I liked him as well... I meant the word "awesome" with a negative connotation.... I should have put it in inverted commas... LOL or maybe I should have formulated my idea differently... I was just shocked when I saw his moves...

Don't get me wrong... I'm not dissing his dancing.... it's his style and what he does is clever, but for me, it's not belly dancing, it's a circus act or a contortion dance. I personally don't find it entertaining.
