Rewrapping the Scarf

Hello, it has been a while. I signed up again for a belly dance class at our local community center. Again I am the only male in the class, but am loving it. Our instructor has invited us to a field trip next month at the restaurant Casablanca in Alexandria, VA where she will be performing with her former instructor Artemis. I was a lil stunned at how welcoming the ladies were!!

Welcome back! I think the belly dancing community is awesome. My teacher and fellow dancers are also welcoming and helpful.

I too am the only guy in class, but my instructor is very open and the ladies in class are great, they even want me to teach them how to spin fire poi. I love dancing and sharing my love for the music. It's especially cool that Andalee plays my favorite middle eastern artists which makes it all the easier to dance to.

It wasn't awkward for me, but I think they were mostly amused at first. Some do seem hesitant to speak to me, but they will get used to it ;-)

Hallo dear,
at this point i was so like because my teacher was my aunt so i took privet lessons, but i heard a lot of stories from other guys about this things just follow your soul and ingnore them.

Think it different...you have your own harem.In my class we have one men with us and we just adore him all!

My own harem?!!...lol. That was beautiful! What is funny is that I had some of my friends laughing because I noticed this girl who has a lot of talent always keeps looking at me. Don't get me wrong, I don't think she is attracted to me but is sort of competing. Now I am not arrogant!! I took 5 classes early last year and have been practicing with my dvd's all the time. Also, I go to a night club in the Circle that plays a lot of international music on Sunday nights just to dance to some Middle Eastern pop. I am in a beginners class and I have done a lot of the moves the girls are just learning. There is this one lady with a New York accent that is a riot and I have a great time with her! I also love my instructor's Boston accent.
