Do any have any suggestion how to get soft moves to all body?
I wish to have soft moving like girl, but i am actualy man. I also try jazz balet, hip hop, electric boogie, yoga but i am still stiff in moving in hips, arms etc.. When i asked my teacher(of jazz balet), she was female, how can i amplify my range of motion, she say to me that i must to do excercise at home, like gymnastics, this is stretching like we do it on training. I startet to doing it at home, but after a time, i got pain in my knees and dislocation of right hip. I continue wih practise, but this has gone so far, that i could not even walk. So, i go to a doctor ant than to physioterapist, but nothing helped. So i stoped with training for some time. Now when i try to practice my knees hurt. I also walk from a doctor to doctor, but all that they say is, that with me is nothing wrong. I get wery frustrated because i still want to do a full split, but i don't know how. OK, i did'n t mentioned at start that i beside soft moves my main purpose is to do full split. |

Hmmm well if you have an injury, it would be better to take the advice of a doctor rather than a dancer. But when your injury heals and your doctor OK's phyiscal training again, what I would suggest is to work on stretching for flexibility to achieve the splits. Check out the warm up and stretching articles on Oriental Dancer.net - Belly Dance Hub in the articles section.

i havent read much from this site yet but i have it bookmarked for later, maybe it will help Stretching and Flexibility - Working Towards Splits for immediate stretching, try jay blahnik's "full body flexibility" book. you can order it online at walmart. i got mine in 4 days. you dont have to read for days like most books, you can begin stretching almost immediately . i only recommend that you understand the difference between assisted and unassisted stretching. it will make a HUGE difference in gaining a large range of mobility. set reasonable goals for yourself. depending on your age, fitness level, and prior dance/gymnastic experience, its going to take time. no one wants to hear that, i know, but if you rush you may injure yourself. if you want aggressive stretching, which i DO NOT recommend but i'll leave you to decide search proprioceptive neuromuscular facilation (oops facilitation is the correct spelling) online. i too have trouble with my knees, so long as they tell me nothing is wrong, i do whatever i want. probably not good advice. for me so long as i maintain proper alignment, it doesnt give me any serious problems. hope this helps. |

Hi ..i am not a dokter, but it sounds to me that you have over done it and you must let it rest till you realy recover, give it the time to heal properly and then you have to start al over again but in a proper way and you must take time ,this kind of moves just dont come in a week...have a nice day Lydia
