Hey Jamil, thanks a lot for posting this article. It is very very interesting, since it talks about a not so known subject. So I've learned something new again
By the way, have I already mentioned, that you look gorgeous as always on the article pic? (uuups, slowly I'm afraid you are going to accuse me for sexual harassment )

the article was very informative.
jamils dancing is awesome. i love the "shoulder solo" on the youtube video and even the way he interacts with the audience, its very relaxed and fun. checked out zorba's site that was pretty cute too. i love the pics. |

Lovede the article and that Jamil was treated with respect, still have my knickers in a twist about the information on the Kochecks. Everybody always gets that part wrong. They were not female impersonaters, that is a gross exageration of something that has been taken way out of context. If you look in my playlist on youtube, i have a list of just kochecks. You can see that they are not wearing women's clothes, they are wearing costumes. Somewhere in there I have clips of the female dancers so you can see what Turkish women wore. It is totally different. The women never wear the type of outfits the kochecks do. I have to write that book...but first I gatta get my taxes done!
