Default Do men dance the same dance?

Can I ask a question? Do men dance the same steps and dances as women do or is it like many different dances around the world where men dancers have different steps?

The entertainment style we are used to seeing on stage was invented in the 1030's, but is actually based on the social dance style, Raks Baladi, which everyone does regardless of gender. However, in the late 60's in the U.S, men started performing the professional version, Raks sharki, on stage. Today the number of men performing it world wide, is growing, and now there are several in various Middle Eastern countries. The best known being Tito of Egypt.

You know in most Norweegian folk dances, the men do the dancing and the wommen watch or play minor roles. One of the most famous ones is named Halling. In it a woman stand holding a hat on a long stick, the men "fighting" for her favor dance around her, usualy to fiddel music, now and again one will make a jump kick for the hat, every time it is knoked down the girl lifts it higher, the one that can make the highest kick "get" the girl.

I dont know. I can look but I am not wery exaperience whit youtube but I will look. I found one video, but it is of a poor quality dancer and he is not in costume. I am also adding some pictures, most is of one that have won the Norweegian champeaonship several times, one is of a young man that dance hallingdance in a dace competition. The picture furthest down is of a woman dancing the few steps women have in hallingdance.
