Default Warda - Ana Leya Meen Gherak

My lovely Moroccan friend and teacher Houda kindly translated this fab Warda song for me recently so thought I'd share it with you all.

Ana Leya Meen Gherak (Whom do I have but you)

Whom do I have but you?
Whom would I want stay alive for BUT you?
Whom do I have and stay alive for?? (Main lyrics)

Whom do I have but you? And stay alive for?
It's you, your love, and you being near to me
You are my life and I have no life without you

(Main lyrics repeat)

My heart didn't have much joy before, it was confused and had lost its way...but since I met you it’s different
Life wasn't life at the time; I didn't really want anything - until you came. Now I dream, and suddenly feel joy for no obvious reason...

There were years when I suffered, my hopes came to nothing and I never found a real joy that lasted
Then I found you and you found me and I came back to life as if I were never alive before

You are my life, my love
