Default How can I find English lyrics for songs in Bellydance superstars Vol 3

Hi everyone,

Someone in the forum said it's better to know the meaning of the songs to better move together with the music. And I keep searching for English version to understand the songs in Bellydance Superstars Vol3 for almost an hour ... in vain. Pls help!!!!

My teacher is away in 2 weeks and while there's no class we have to do some kind of homework. We're expected to show her our own cheography (wrong spelling???) in 1 or 2 minutes. We did this once, but the result for me was not really good as I didn't spend enough time working on music then. That's why I want to focus more on music this time.

Waiting.....

Habibi ya eini is here Belly Dance Music Translations

The Arabic transliteration of Haboussou is in the lyrics section of this forum but without an English version as yet

Yshka found a translation of Lawn Oyounak - it's on another thread in the lyrics section called Bellydance Superstars Vol 3, and is from September 2006.

It's not easy finding translations but this forum and Shira's website are good places to start. If you Google the titles try some alternative spellings, because the Arabic sounds get written different ways in English.

Good luck with the homework!

Thumbs up

Dear Aniseteph,

it's surely great to mumble the lyrics of Habibi Ya Elni, though still quite difficult for me. And even though I don't get the meaning of each word, it brings greater pleasure to enjoy the music.

Thanks a lot.....

Default Hamada Hilal: Ana wa leel (Ana wei leil)

I would like to dance on that song at our next student's party. Does anyone know the translation or what the song is about. Love - I'm sure but in how far?

I guess Ana wa leil means: Me and the night.
And the singer expresses sadness because he is not luckily in love or something is not going well between him and her.
Am I very wrong?

Thank you very much for your help in advance.
