Hi everyone,
I've been teaching cardio belly dance for the last 6 months, and people in the community love it! (These classes are a great way for me to recruit for my belly dance classes). I am currently looking for music for my next series of class. In my last class, I use music like I gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas; If U Seek Amy - Britney Spears; Ojos Asi - Shakira; and many more like Rachid Taha. Do you have any suggestion? Isi |

What is cardio belly? Is it like aerobics with some bellydance moves added?
In that case, Said Mrad and R.E.G project comes to mind. They have uptempo or techno/dance-like songs but still with a lot of middle eastern rhythms, sounds and melodies. |

Krazy by Pitbull ft. Little John
Get Involved by Genuwine ft. Missy Elliot and Timbaland Fire Burning - Sean Kingston So Fine - Sean Paul Pump It - Black Eyed Peas Get Busy - Sean Paul Footloose - Kenny Loggins That's just a sample of songs you could use, there are so many. Have fun with it, sounds like a great class ![]() |

[QUOTE=shiradotnet;139526]I would urge you to consider using Middle Eastern music. Somehow, Black-Eyed Peas (although they have good music) just doesn't say "belly dance" to me, and if I signed up for a class that used that music, I'd be really disappointed.
I do use a lot of Middle Eastern music (I just did not have the titles with me when I wrote the Thread) and I will certainly take your recommendations into consideration! Thank you! |

Good to hear. Otherwise how on earth can exercise to western music be connected to belly dance in any way (the actual "movements" are not unique to belly dance - it is the interpretation that makes it so)
